FIRST CARBONFREE® GREEN PTA IN AMERICA
We are very proud to join CarbonFree® Partner companies and organizations like Discovery Communications, Avis, Amtrak, 41pounds.org and others to help the environment, support energy independence, and help make the transition to a clean energy future possible. It is our hope that we will teach our kids and lead by example to encourage progress from the grassroots.

The article can be found at:http://www.nytimes.com/2010/10/10/fashion/10Cultural.html?_r=1&scp=1&sq=girls%20and%20bullying&st=cse . The article could lead to some interesting discussion within families that have daughters. | News News News!

Mission of PTA: A strong advocate for the education and well-being of every child
Did you know that all the Board of Education meetings are now on the web live as well as on demand? They continue to be shown on Comcast95/Verizon42. To watch on the web, go to hcpss.org and click on the icon on the right and watch!
Did you know that all BOE agendas/minutes, etc. are on the hcpss website under BoardDocs?
Would you be interested in attending a Board of Ed meeting to learn more about how our school system works and how the decisions and policies are established on behalf of PTACHC? Delegates are being asked to attend one meeting and be the information portal to others. Let's keep informed by being active listeners (and participants by sitting on policy committees) in the education of our children. There will be sign up sheet at the Nov. 1 Council meeting or email the date of when you can attend to the office.
