Turkey Trot - Grades K, 1, 2

From the PE Department:

Fulton’s 4th Annual Turkey Trot will be held on Monday, November 25th  for grades 3,4,5 and on Tuesday, November 26th for grades K,1, 2.

The students will take part in a run around a designated course. Upon finishing the run, each child will receive a certificate with a number on it that will be used to total class points. The points on each certificate will be random. No matter when a student finishes he/she will still be contributing to their class score. The emphasis of the Turkey Trot is for our students to demonstrate to the community the importance of having a strong and healthy heart.

The event is also a food drive, which will take place Nov. 4th – Nov. 26th. This part of the Turkey Trot will show the community that Fulton students not only know the importance of having healthy hearts, but also giving hearts! We are asking that each student bring in non-perishable food items to be donated to Laurel Advocacy & Referral Services, Inc (LARS). The food will be picked-up on November 26th. Each class will be able to add five points to their class score for each item donated. The class in each grade with the highest average score (the total of points accumulated from the run and food drive, divided by the number of students in the class) will receive the Turkey Trot Award!
